The flat slab
The concrete beyond the tiled slope is the only place we draw a row.
Kilpauk · written price
The amount you pay stays on the flat slab, not the tiled verandah. If you already own the panels and inverter, fitting starts at ₹3,000 per kW. A complete plant is priced after a free visit from Madipakkam.

Two roofs, one of them unused
A garden house can have a tiled verandah in front of a flat concrete slab. We mark where the concrete begins and leave the slope out. Screwing rails through the tiles is not a repair we will start. The tank stays. A walkway stays. If the flat patch is only a narrow strip, that strip is the plant, or we say it is too small. A house whose whole roof is already concrete is an ordinary survey. The roof itself is on panels for a Kilpauk home. What a panel rate leaves out is on solar panel prices in Kilpauk.
Labour from ₹3,000 per kW covers civil work, mounting, wiring, testing, and commissioning when the modules and inverter are already yours. Cables and structure steel stay outside that rate. The scope is on installation services.

The tiles stay undrilled. The slope is not spare area.
On the flat slab, the tank stays and a path stays. A narrow strip is the plant, or it is too small.
Eligible homeowners can receive up to ₹78,000 with DCR modules and an approved file. Amount and approval follow current scheme rules. Compare the price after that assistance.
How to read the sheet
Ask whether the tiled verandah was left undrilled, DCR or NDCR, what is excluded, and who files the net meter and the subsidy. Independent houses are the usual fit. A flat cannot take a common roof.
How any Chennai quote should be lined up is on panel and price. NDCR against DCR is in that guide. A compound wall is the Kodambakkam price.
