East Coast Road, both sides of the carriageway

Solar panels for your home in ECR.

The road runs north to south, with the sea on the east. A terrace on the sea side and a terrace on the landward side are not the same survey. We mark which side the house is on before any row is counted. The visit from Madipakkam is free.

The side of the road comes first

East of the carriageway is not west of it.

East of the road, the morning comes off the sea. A beach-facing roof can take spray on the glass, and that wash path is a separate survey. West of the road, the morning comes across the carriageway. A block on the far side can cut that morning, so the bright part of the terrace may be the inland edge. The row follows the side the house is actually on. An address that only says the road name does not choose it.

Spray on beach-facing glass is the Neelankarai case. A shop meter under the home, on the landward side, is the Palavakkam case. A cable over a lane roof is Kottivakkam. A room already standing on the slab is Injambakkam. City-wide module choice is on panels for a Chennai home.

Marked before a count

Four checks along the road.

01

Which side

The gate is either toward the sea or toward the land. That is the first mark on the drawing.

02

The morning

Sea-side morning comes off the water. Landward morning comes across the carriageway, and may be cut by the block opposite.

03

Whose terrace

The slab has to belong to the household on the bill. A flat cannot claim the common roof of a large block.

04

DCR

Central assistance needs cells and modules made in India. Eligible homes can receive up to ₹78,000. The amount follows the scheme on the day you apply.

Who it suits

A house with its own terrace on either side.

Independent houses that give East Coast Road as the address are the usual fit, whether the gate faces the sea or the land. A flat in a large community is not a private plant. A shared terrace along the road is the Thiruvanmiyur case, and a whole block is the Sholinganallur case.

How the row is fixed once the side is clear is on solar panel installation. Modules you already hold are labour from ₹3,000 per kW, materials excluded, on installation services. The ECR figure is on solar panels and prices in ECR. How the crew sets the row is on solar panels and installation in ECR. The subsidy gap is on panel and price. NDCR against DCR is in that guide before an import is confirmed.

Say which side the gate is on

The side, then the row.

Do you visit East Coast Road from Madipakkam?

Yes. The roof visit is free. A recent bill and which side of the road the house is on are enough to start. No modules are ordered that day.

Is a sea-side terrace the same job as a landward one?

No. East of the road, morning light comes off the sea. West of the road, it comes across the carriageway. The row is drawn for that side.

The address only says ECR. What else do you need?

Which side of the carriageway the gate is on, and a photo of the terrace. The road name alone does not fix the layout.

Do subsidy plants need DCR modules?

Yes. Cells and modules must be made in India. Eligible homes can receive up to ₹78,000, subject to the scheme on the day you apply. NDCR is only if that assistance has already been given up.

Say which side of East Coast Road the terrace is on.

A free visit from Madipakkam. We mark the side, the bright part of the slab, and whether the plant should be DCR.
