Medavakkam houses built in stages

Solar panels for your home in Medavakkam.

Many houses here were finished floor by floor. The family lives below a terrace they may still build on. We ask that before any rail is drawn. A plant on a slab that will become a ceiling has to be removed later. If this roof is the last one, modules go around a tank that will also stay put. The office is on Medavakkam Main Road in Madipakkam, so the visit is along the same road and is free.

Modules on part of a finished tiled terrace, with the rest of the slab still open

The question that comes first

Is this the last floor?

On the layouts off Medavakkam Main Road, a ground floor is often occupied while the terrace is still a building site in the owner's mind. Exposed pipes, a parapet that is only half built, or a tank sitting on a temporary pad are signs the roof is not finished. We do not anchor rails to that slab.

When you have decided there will be no further floor, the parapet has to be complete and the tank has to be in its final place. Modules then take the open tiled area that remains, sized to the daytime bill. City-wide module choice is on panels for a Chennai home. Wind off the marsh is the Pallikaranai case. A garden terrace beside our counter is the Madipakkam case. Here the first limit is whether the roof is final.

Before a drawing

Four answers we need from the house.

01

Another floor

If a storey is still planned, we wait. Rails on a future ceiling are a removal job, not a plant.

02

Parapet

A finished roof has a parapet that is already built. An unfinished wall is not a place to end a row.

03

The tank

Its place has to be final. A tank you expect to shift after painting is left out of the layout until it has moved.

04

DCR

Central assistance needs cells and modules made in India. Eligible homes can receive up to ₹78,000. The amount follows the scheme on the day you apply.

Who it suits

A roof you will not build on again.

Independent houses on the streets off Medavakkam Main Road are the usual fit, once the last floor is confirmed. A flat proceeds only after the association has allowed that household to use the terrace, in writing. A setback or a partly cast slab is not a mounting place.

How the rails are fixed to a finished slab is on solar panel installation. Modules you already bought are labour, quoted on installation services. The Medavakkam figure is on solar panels and prices in Medavakkam. How the crew sets the row is on solar panels and installation in Medavakkam. The subsidy gap is on panel and price. NDCR against DCR is in that guide before an import is confirmed.

The last floor, then the subsidy.

Do you visit Medavakkam from Madipakkam?

Yes. The office is on Medavakkam Main Road, so it is the same road. The visit is free. A recent bill is enough to start. No modules are ordered that day.

We may add a floor in a few years. Should we wait?

Yes. A plant on that slab would have to come off when the floor is built. We draw modules only on a roof you have decided is the last one.

The terrace is finished and we will not build up. What is next?

We check that the parapet is complete and the tank will stay. Modules are then sized to the daytime bill, on the slab that remains.

Do subsidy plants need DCR modules?

Yes. Cells and modules must be made in India. Eligible homes can receive up to ₹78,000, subject to the scheme on the day you apply. NDCR is only if that assistance has already been given up.

Say if the Medavakkam terrace is the final roof.

A free visit along Medavakkam Main Road. We confirm the last floor, the tank, and whether the plant should be DCR.
