Residential solar · Chennai & Madipakkam

From the Madipakkam office

Solar panels for your home in Madipakkam.

The office is on Medavakkam Main Road, opposite Kumaran Theatre. Most roofs we see here are independent-house terraces the family still uses. Modules go on the open strip, and a path stays. Walk in Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 7 pm, or send the bill first. Nothing is ordered at the counter.

Installers fitting modules on a house terrace that still holds potted plants

A roof that stays in use

The terrace remains a terrace.

Houses off Medavakkam Main Road, including lanes in Balaji Nagar and Vigneshwar Nagar, often keep a water tank, a stair cover, and a line of pots on the roof. That used space comes off the drawing. What is left, parapet to parapet, is the strip that can take modules. The house next door can shade one edge in the morning or the evening. That edge is marked and left bare.

Module choice for the wider city is on panels for a Chennai home. A neighbouring tower and a wet corner are the Velachery checks. Salt on the hardware belongs on the coast. Here the limit is a working house roof a few minutes from the office.

What the visit records

Four measurements on a house roof.

01

Open strip

Tank, stair cover, and pots stay. Modules occupy only the clear width that is left, with a walkway beside them.

02

One shaded edge

If the next house covers a side in the morning or the evening, that side stays empty. The rest is counted only if the clear hours are useful.

03

Daytime bill

The electricity bill shows what the house draws while the sun is up. The row is sized to that use. The EB connection stays.

04

DCR

Central assistance needs cells and modules made in India. Eligible homes can receive up to ₹78,000. The amount follows the scheme rules on the day you apply.

Who it suits

A house roof you already use.

Independent houses are the usual fit. A small apartment proceeds only after the association has allowed that household to use the terrace, in writing. A balcony or a setback is not a place for modules.

Modules you already have are fitted as labour. That scope is on installation services. The Madipakkam figure is on solar panels and prices in Madipakkam. How the crew sets the row is on solar panels and installation in Madipakkam. How to read the figure, including the subsidy gap, is on panel and price. NDCR against DCR is in that guide before a cheaper import is confirmed.

From this neighbourhood

Questions we hear on Medavakkam Main Road.

Can I come to the office?

Yes. No.5, MSP Complex, F-3, Medavakkam Main Road, opposite Kumaran Theatre. Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 7 pm. A roof visit is free and is booked when the team is free.

The terrace has plants and a tank. Can modules still fit?

If an open strip remains, yes. The pots and the tank stay. If that strip is too short to be useful, we say so and do not force a row.

The next house shades one edge. Does that rule the plant out?

It rules out that edge. The rest of the roof can still be used when the clear hours are enough. We leave the shaded side bare.

Do I need DCR modules?

Yes, for central assistance of up to ₹78,000. Cells and modules must be made in India, and the amount follows the scheme then in force. NDCR is only if that subsidy has already been given up.

Bring the Madipakkam bill to Medavakkam Main Road.

Or send a terrace photo. We note the open strip, the shaded edge, and whether the plant should be DCR. Nothing is ordered at the counter.
